Vision ~ Realizing a Dream
I follow the gift of touch to create more public
awareness of the benefits of therapeutic massage,
through successful individual experiences. Creating a
sacred, confidential space allows for personal
expression and a healing atmosphere. I strive to bring
a focused presence that teaches the heart and the body
how to be aware in the moment, and to live in the path
of right livelihood.
As a graduate of Heartwood Institute and the School
of Shiatsu and Massage, I am continuing to evolve as
a bodyworker. Benefitting from the experience of
working in a premier local spinal clinic, allowed me
to create a successful private practice. I then
discovered the beautiful art of Watsu (massage
floating in warm water). This took me on a journey to
realize a dream of bringing Watsu to the North Coast.
With education, practice, patience, persistence and
love, I created a public Aquatic Bodywork Center in
Humboldt County - fully wheelchair accessible.
As a venue to introduce Watsu Therapy and Waterdance
to the public, I attend Health Fairs, Craft Fairs, and
Career Expositions, doing seated massage and giving
presentations on the physiological, psychological,
and emotional benefits of massage. I work closely with
health care professionals for the optimal benefit of
the individual. By maintaining personal and
professional ethical standards - held by my National
Certification and AMTA membership - I insure the
integrity of service to my clients, reflecting
positively on this profession.
