Certified in the following modalities of massage

Swedish

A light circulatory massage, possibly fullbody, used for relaxation. Utilized for spreading lotion, that is stimulating to the circulatory and lymph system. This may also incorporate a range of motion exercise and stretching.
Polarity

Similar to Reiki, polarity primarily works with the energy fields of the body (from ethereal light touch to very stimulating). Focusing on restoring proper energy balance through sympathetic resonance with the practitioner, based on elemental principles with chakra balancing.
Zen Shiatsu Acupressure

Practiced in the Eastern philosophy of medicine, utilizing the principle of Yin and Yang. Some of the methods used, are studying pulses, faces and tongue to determine the course of a session. Applying pressure and stretching along Chi lines (meridians) to tonify corresponding organ systems and elemental relationships in the body. Tai Chi, meditation, herbs and nutrition are used to enhance the effects of this discipline.

Deep Tissue

Working on specific muscles and fascia, restoring circulation and rehydrating tissue. Stretching and joint movement return muscles to normal resting length and function. This work is beneficial for many soft tissue injuries, spasming, chronic pain and limited movement conditions.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Combines deep tissue with specific pressure on trigger points to relieve chronic pain caused by injury or stress. Trigger points generally exhibit local tenderness and can be accompanied by referred sensation.

Orthopedic Massage

Based on the theory of Loren Barry, RPT, that is taught by Tom Hendrickson, DC (now called Hendrickson Method). Recognizing that tissue can develop a positional dysfunction which interferes with the mechanical movement of the body. The application of specific wavelike strokes can realign the functional position of the tissue, used in conjunction with muscle energy technique to facilitate neurological integration.
